Using Object Identity Versioning to Improve RDBS Design

分析了关系数据库在引用一致性、历史数据库管理上存在的缺陷，提出了使用对象标识与版本管理机制改进关系数据库设计的思想，并给出了具体的设计步骤、方法、标准例程。

Relational database systems (RDBS)have been and will still be predominantin marketplace.Nonetheless,there are problems with RDBS such as referentialinconsistency,inability in dealing with historical data.In this paper,we present a frameworkwhich integrates object identity and versioning mechanism with traditional database designmethodology.Guidelines and procedures are described in detail.
