Abstract In this paper, on the basis of making full use of characteristics of geometricprogramming, we establish a Newton-type homotopy illterior algorithm for posynomial geometric programming, and prove its convergence under weaker assumption.Numerical examples are given to demonstrate the simpleness and effectiveness.
