摘要
宽带业务的增长和DWDM技术的发展,迫切需要更宽增益的全光放大器。本文提出了一种新的宽带FRA增益平坦化的补偿理论和设计方法。通过构造增益补偿光纤实现FRA增益平坦化,给出了补偿光纤增益系数曲线的轮廓及计算方法。并以掺锗光纤为例仿真设计了增益平坦光纤放大器,为FRA增益平坦化提供了一种新的技术途径。
All-optical amplifer with wider band is required urgently for the increasement of wide-band traffic and the development of DWDM. This paper provides the balance theory and design method for a new type of gain flattened wide-band FRA. It also flattens the gain of FRA with a balance gain fiber, and provides the calculation method of the coefficient curve for the balance fiber. Moreover, this paper provides a new technique to flatten the gain of FRA with an example of Ge-mixed fiber flat gain fiber amplifier.
