Social work is a helping profession which serves for the people who are in need of help with its values, knowledge and technology. The value is the soul of social work, for it makes social work different from other helping professions. Person - centered therapy has an important influence on social work practice. The author discusses the link between person - centered therapy and social work. based on the practical experience of running groups, the author also discusses the indigenization of person - centered theory in China.
