The design and application situation of Dtltav system developed by EMERSON Co., and TRIDENT system by TRICONEX Co., as the matching emergency shutdown system （briefly called ESD） are introduced in the control system of VCM production plant in Inner Mongolia Haiji ChlorAlkali Chemical Industry CO. , Ltd.. When unforeseen fluctuation of emergent situation occurs during the productlon,the control system can make the VCM production plant shutdown at a certain safely level and ensure the safety of the plant and personnel.
