The paper discussed that in the initial stage of the new tlnit starting,themain cause of the higher SiO2 content in steam is of heavily carried boiler water insteam-blowpipe process and also the pollution of superheaters. It was pointed outthat the improvement of the feed-water and the poboiler-water qunlity,increas-ing of blowdown and replacing of the boiler-water during the blowpipe processwould have a remarkable effect on decreasing the SiO2 content in steam.
