The article generalizes the development and characteristics of video information resource. Then the author analyzes the necessity of the video information resource. To satisfy different information needs, all kinds of video metadata criteria come on and coexist take on the developing form of multicuhural. Based on the developing goal of resource, it needs realize interoperability between the video metadatas. Further, the necessity of video metadata interoperability as weU as the methods is discussed.
