The Beginning of Management Science in China

以90年前(1915年)中文刊物上发表的三篇宣扬科学管理的译文和创作为例,分析其内容和当年国际国内的社会和学术背景,论证其译作者穆湘癑、杨铨、芸生的思想和工作已标志着中国管理科学研究的起步。

This paper analyzes three translated and written papers supporting scientific management published on Chinese journals 90 years ago （1915）, also reveals social and academic backgrounds of the domestic and of the abroad at that time. The paper argues that the academic thoughts and works of MU Xiangyue （1876-1943, translator of F. W. Taylor＇s Principles of Scientific Management）, YANG Quan （1893-1933, also known as Yang Xingfo） and YUN Sheng （no known） marked the beginning of the research of management science in China.
