Points out that air conditioning in larse spaces requires sn environmental control over a huge volume and with a higher flexibility, compared with that in ordinary butildings. Describes the foreign experience, mainly of Japan, in this field, including the determination of the desing conditions, the charscteristics of thermal loads, fresh air volume and the air changes, air conditioning modes and air flow patterns.
