China's electrified railway mileage has surpassed 20,000 kilometers, ranking the third in the world after Russia and Germany, the Beijing Daily said in a report published on December 29. China achieved the goal with the recent completion of a 625-km electrified railway line which links Chongqing in southwest China and Huaihua in central China's Hunan Province.
