Views on the Revision of the Urban Master Plan

本文就城市总体规划修编过程中几个带倾向性的问题进行了探讨，即关于城市规划的本质与作用、现代化城市的标准、城市产业结构与城市空间结构、城市用地规模与人口规模、城镇体系规划与城乡一体化及城市远景规划与近期规划；这些问题的研究对目前总规修编有一定的参考价值。

This paper discusses some common issues in process of revising the master plans, such as the nature and the function of the urban planning, the standard of the modern cities, the urban industfial structure and the urban space structure, the land use scale and the population size, the urban system planning and the urban /rural integration, as well as the urban long-term planning and its immediateone.
