摘要
家庭网关是家庭信息化的关键设备。随着以IP核复用为基础的SOC设计技术的发展,片上互联变得越来越重要,要求使用多层总线,以提供尽可能高的带宽。采用ARM公司的高性能总线(ML-AHB,Advanced High-performance Bus),设计了一个家庭网关SOC。将3条主总线分别连接到ARM核的数据总线、指令总线和DMA总线,再将8条从总线连接到外围总线及外围存储器等。经系统验证,取得了很好的效果。
Home gateway is the key device of home information system. With the development of SOC design technology based on reusable IP, the high speed intereonnections between IP modules become more and more important. An SOC of home gateway is developed using multi-layer advanced high-performance bus (ML-AHB) of ARM Company. In the SOC, 3 master buses are connected with DATA, INST of ARM core, and system DAM bus, and 8 slave buses are connected with some peripheral buses and external memories. It has been demonstrated through top level verification that the home gateway SOC based on ML-AHB has achieved very good performance.
