Stilwell Incident happened in October 19th, 1944 when American president Roosevelt recalled J.W Stilwell, America＇s military representative, chief of staff in the war zone of China. Stilwell Incident was by no means a coincidence. Its direct cause laid in disputes between China, American and Britain about war plans against Japan and their respective responsibilities in Pacific War period, the focus of which was the counterblow in Burma. Stilwell Incident was the representation of different wartime political strategies of China, America and Britain, which clearly reflected their competition for national interests, as well as their cooperative, yet controversial relationship.
