Peirce on Science and Its Method and Attitude

皮尔士对于科学的逻辑学有着集中思考,并将科学逻辑作为其全部哲学的基础。在他看来,科学不是知识的系统化;科学方法是惟一能最终获致自然真相的探究方法;作为科学人,我们必须以真诚而热情的态度对待科学探究活动。

C. S. Peirce reflected much upon the logic of science, which can be regarded as the foundation of his entire philosophy. According to him, the genuine scienee is not systematization of knowledge, but a mode of life. And the scientific method is the only method of inquiry that can finally reach the truth of nature. Importantly, as a scientific man, one should be sincere and earnest to his scientific inquiry.
