颠覆与建构1990年代以来英文学界中国女性群体形象研究

Subversion and Construction: Research on the Images of Chinese Women Groups in Western Literature since the 1990s

在当今中国女性研究领域,女性群体形象一直是东西方学界共同关注的主题之一,特别是20世纪90年代以来西方出现了一批较有分量的研究专著和期刊论文。本文试图对20世纪90年代以来有关中国女性群体形象的英文研究成果加以评介,并与大陆女性研究进行比较,以期从女性群体形象的角度探讨西方中国女性研究的特点及其与大陆女性研究在理论立足点、学者性别构成、选题等方面的异同。这些女性群体包括:新女性传统女性、才女、家庭妇女职业妇女、贞妇烈女、妓女、农村妇女、女勇士、女尼等。

In the research field of Chinese women, a common interest to the scholars in both west and east is around the images of women groups. Since the 1990s, many scholarly works and research journal articles have been published in English discussing the historical and contemporary living conditions of Chinese women. This paper attempts to review the research literature published in English on the images of Chinese women groups since the 1990s, to find out the characteristics of Chinese women studies in the west via group images, and to compare the studies in the west with those in China's Mainland in hope that similarities and differences in theory construction, sex distribution of the authors, and topic selection can be discovered. The women groups discussed in this article include new women/traditional women, women scholars (cai nü), stay-at-home women/career women, women who laid down lives to defend their woman honor; prostitutes, country women, women warriors, nuns, etc.
