论许译《唐诗三百首》典故的翻译技巧

On Translation of Literary Quotations in Xu's 300 Tang Poems

唐诗中的典故承载着深厚的文化意义,是语际转换过程中的主要难度所在。诗歌翻译过程中对于典故的处理直接影响到译文的质量。许渊冲教授翻译的《唐诗三百首》在翻译界得到普遍的好评,其中对典故的处理技巧有其独到之功。对许译唐诗中典故的翻译技巧做出分析归类,以期为中国古典诗歌中典故的翻译提供可鉴之资,促进东西方文化交流。

The literary quotations in Tang Poems are heavily loaded with cultural information, which makes it more difficult to translate. 300 Tang Poemstranslated by Professor Xu Yuanzhong has received widely recognition for its admirable approaches applied in translating, especially in dealing with the literary quotations in the poems. This article analyses and classifies Xu＇s methods of handling the literary quotations with the aim to work out some effective translating approaches to accelerate the translation of the ancient Chinese poems so as to further the cross-cultural communication between the west and the east.
