略论保定日伪新民会的政治活动

A Brief Review on the Political Activity of Japanese Puppet Association of New Democracy in Baoding

抗战时期,日寇成立的汉奸组织伪新民会,协助日本侵略军干下了一系列的罪恶勾当。当时的保定市是河北省首府,地理位置重要。保定伪新民会利用召开联合协议会、组建新民“感化所”、颁布所谓的救济措施等种种手段,企图在广大民众面前造成一种假相,以迷惑民众,美化日寇的侵华行径,阻碍抗战的步伐。

During the anti-Japanese war, the puppet Association of New Democracy built by Japanese imperialism and puppet regime had assisted Japanese invaders in committing monstrous crimes in China. Baoding, the current capital of Hebci province, was very important in its geographical location. The association took several measures to mislead the mass by false appearances, justify the act of Japanese aggression and thus hamper the progress of the resistance war, such as calling agreed joint meetings, setting up Xin-min Detention Center and issuing so-called relief measures.
