A Brief Talk about Laozi’s Logic Thoughts

中国逻辑史专家对中国古代逻辑思想的研究主要集中于名家、儒家和墨家,却忽视了对道家,特别是对道家创始人老子的逻辑思想的挖掘。事实上老子作为中国先秦一位伟大的哲学家,其思想博大精深,在其言论与著作中已自觉不自觉地运用了逻辑思维和逻辑方法,来论证自己的观点,老子的逻辑思想主要体现在其著作《老子》一书中。

Experts at Chinese logic history have focused their study of ancient Chinese logic thoughts on the school of logicians, the Confucianists and the Monist School, ignoring the study of the Taoist School, especially its creaton-Laozi. In fact, Laozi, a great thinker of the pre-Qin days, consciously or unconsciously employed logic thoughts and methods to demonstrate his own idea. His logic thoughts are mostly reflected in his work- Laozi.
