Effects of multifunctional maintenance medium on contact lenses

目的:验证多功能保养液对角膜及隐形眼镜的保护和润滑作用。方法:将隐形眼镜镜片浸泡于多功能保养液内1wk,扫描电镜(SEM)观察隐形眼镜镜片内外两面结构变化;同时进行动物戴镜实验,并设人工泪液为对照组。结果:镜片浸泡实验SEM观察,结构清晰,镜片内外两面可见少量附着物,洗涤后如同未浸泡镜片;对照组镜片内外两面可见大量、颗粒状附着物,洗之不掉;动物戴镜实验,实验组家兔角膜组织学观察,角膜上皮完整;对照组角膜上皮部分剥脱。结论:多功能保养液对隐形眼镜具有保养、保存和润滑作用,并对角膜上皮细胞有保护功能。

AIM： To investigate the protective and lubricative function of multifunctional maintenance medium on contact lenses. METHODS： Soaked in the multifunctional maintenance medium for lwk, the interior and exterior surface structure of contact lenses were observed by the scanning electron microscope （SEM）. Meanwhile, after being soaked, the contact lenses were worn by rabbits. The control contact lenses were soaked in artificial tear liquids. RESULTS： After being soaked in multifunctional maintenance medium, the lenses＇ structure was clear, and little attachment granule was attached in the interior and exterior surface of the lenses, which can be washed away easily; while the control lenses showed a lot of attachment granules in the interior and exterior surface, which could hardly be washed away. In the tissue section, the experimental rabbits presented a complete cornea epithelium; while the control group showed part of cornea epithelium exfoliation. CONCLUSION： The multifunctional maintenance medium may maintain, protect and lubricate the contact lenses. Moreover, it shows a protected role in the cornea epithelium.
