潮人崇儒亦善贾——试论潮人文化心态的二重性

Confucius and Business Engagement: The Dual Features in Chaoshan People's Cultural Psychology

作为潮汕文化深层次底蕴的潮人文化心态异常复杂,一方面由于儒文化的濡染浸润,呈现出强烈的家族观念与祖先崇拜、尊儒重礼、好中庸、追求精细技巧等特征;另一方面由于经商传统的影响而呈现出冒险开拓、崇尚奢华、团结互助等特征。传统儒文化与重商观念存在对立,但也有融合,儒文化对潮人的经商活动产生了巨大的影响。

The Chaoshan people assume complicated features in their cultural psychology: on the one hand,influenced and permeated by Confucius culture,they have strong sense of family ties and great respect for their ancestors.They have faith in Confucius,etiquette,moderateness,and pursuit of delicacy and technicality.On the other hand,they assume features such as pioneering spirit,seeking luxury,and collaboration,owing to their tradition in doing business.The traditional Confucius culture and business engagement contradict yet interpenetrate. Confucius culture exerts enormous influence on Chaoshan people's running business.
