摘要
人类对语言、文化和思维关系的研究由来已久,语言相对论是对这一研究传统的继承和发展。语言相对论一经提出,就引起了学术界的广泛关注和激烈争论。本文从其哲学基础、理论框架的构建和近几十年来其在国外的发展情况等几方面对语言相对论的发展历程做了细致的分析。
Speculations about the relations among language, culture and thought can probably be traced back to the dawn of human civilization. The linguistic relativity hypothesis, which is closely related to this academic tradition, has attracted great interest and induced detailed investigation in many academic fields. The present paper reviews this hypothesis from the perspectives of its philosophical background, its theoretical framework and its latest devel- opment in recent decades.
