On Civil-Oriented Thought of"the People Are the Foundation of the State and the State will Serve Its People"in Early China

“民惟邦本,本固邦宁”民本思想,传说始于大禹。历经夏、商、西周、春秋、战国先秦各代,凡遵循者,国则兴,凡背弃者,政则亡,历史教训极为深刻。经孔子、孟子发展,把民本思想升华到先秦时代最高理论境界,对后世影响深远。今天我们重温早期民本思想的教训,对建设小康社会极具历史鉴戒作用。
