Prof. Chen Yiyu, President of NSFC, extended a warm welcome to Prof. O＇Nions. He said that NSFC has established good relationship with the UK science funding bodies, such as the Royal Society and the Research Councils, and jointly supported with them many activities of exchange and cooperation between the researchers from the two countries, which have gained good reputations in the scientific communities of both countries. He showed his believe that Prof. O＇Nions＇ visit will strengthen the mutual understanding and promote the cooperation between NSFC and Research Councils. Prof. O＇Nions expressed his thanks to Prof. Chen and gave an introduction about RCUK.
