Stretch-breaking Technology for Wool

选用细羊毛条进行棉型毛条的制作,主要对羊毛牵切机的结构原理、不同牵切工艺下的毛条质量进行了探讨,根据牵切毛条的质量指标,优选出最佳牵切工艺,供棉型羊毛产品的开发企业参考。

By using stretch-breaking technology, wool can be converted into staple with lengths and fineness compatible with cotton, so that it can be either blended with cotton or cotton-type fibers to produce wool/cotton or other wool blended fabric, or produced into pure wool fabric on cotton manufacturing machine. This means shortened process, reduced production cost and added value of the broken wool. In this article, the process of converting fine wool tow into cotton-type top, the structure of the stretch-breaking machine and the quality of wool top in different stretch-breaking processes are discussed. Based on the quality data of the stretch-broken top, an optimised stretch-breaking process is given, offering reference to cotton-type wool product producers.
