A Study on the Yarn-forming Mechanism and Quality Control of Two-dimensional Braided Wrapped Yarn

By incorporating a feeding system, wrapped yarn can be spun on existing ring spinning machine. However, such practice has some shortages: it poses limit on the fineness of the wrapped yarn; the core easily goes eccentric or unwrapped and it is no longer kept in original state. To solve these problems, we can use a two-dimensional braiding machine to braid wrapped yarn. This article introduces the working principle of two-dimensional braiding machine and discussen in details the yarn-forming principle of two-dimensional braided wrapped yarn. The experimental results show that the quality of the wrapped yarn can be guaranteed by properly choosing yarn material and adjusting the tension-control and yarn-forming devices.
