摘要
2003年8月18日在西藏林芝地区发生的MS5.7地震的宏观震中位于波密县城扎木镇南13km的高山无人区。极震区烈度达到Ⅶ度。Ⅶ和Ⅵ度区面积分别为3200和11000km2。这次地震的发生与NW向的嘉黎断裂和NE向的扎木-马尼翁断裂的活动有关。震区建筑物遭到一定程度的破坏或影响,地面破坏现象较明显。
An earthquake with MS5.7 occurred on Aug. 18,2003 in the Linzhi region, Tibet. The macroseismic epicenter surveyed is situated in the unpopulated high mountain area, 13km away south of Zhamu town, Bomi County. The epicenter intensity is Ⅶ degree. The areas of Zone Ⅶ and Zone Ⅵ area are respectively 3200 and 11000 km^2 . This seismic event is relative with the movements of the Jiali fault trending NW direction and the Zhamu-Maniwen fault trending NE direction. The buildings in the areas are damaged or affected by this earthquake, accompanied with some phenomena of ground damage.
