The movement of Chinese constitutional government resulted from the influence of western theories after the Opium War, which also is a reluctant option to improve our country＇s fate and develop our nation. China was very different from western countries in social backgrounds, state of country and problems faced, leading to the different goals and contents in Chinese constitutional government and western countries, which exactly reflected the special state of China and its society during that particular time.
