Thematic Meaning in Functional Stylistics

以我国学者对韩礼德的系统功能文体学的介绍为基点,针对我国学者对于文体研究的“主题意义”探究不够的现状,从功能文体学的文体分析目的、分析过程、“前景化”和“情景语境”等主要概念、“文体意义”与“主题意义”等方面联系起来具体分析,认为文体分析的最终目标除探寻文本的文体特征外,还包括挖掘和阐释文本的“主题意义”,对文本“前景化”的判断标准是以文章的“主题意义”和“情景语境”为参考的。因此,在运用功能文体学进行文体分析的时候,需要和一定的情景语境和主题意义相联系,才能体会到文本的文体效果。

The thematic meaning of a discourse in stylistic analysis is closely related to such key points in functional stylistics as the purpose and process of analysis, foregrounding and the context of situation. Based on the introduction to M. Halliday＇s systemic functional stylistics, this paper probes into the profound significance of thematic meaning. It holds that we should not emphasize function at the sacrifice of meaning when making stylistic analysis with functional stylistics.
