关于形式动词的及物性考察

Study of the Verbal Function of Formal Transitives

形式动词只能或能够带一个动词构成表处置和对待的述宾结构,本身却不表示具体的动作行为意义,起着一定的句法和语用的作用,而让动词宾语负载具体的动作行为信息.本文主要考察'进行'的及物性,得出'进行'是一个弱及物性动词的结论.

Verbs such as ＂make, have, give, jinxing＂ etc. are common in the modern Chinese language, which can be followed by another verb to form a structure expressing handling and treatment. However, they themselves don＇t indicate specific actions. They are just grammatical items in sentences. What carries the information of a specific action isthe verb that follows them. These special verbs are called ＂para-predicate object verbs＂ by Mr. Zhu De-xi or ＂formal verbs＂. This essay analyses the verbal function of ＂jinxing＂ from nine aspects and has reached a conclusion that it is a weak transitive verb. Proceeding from the theory in ＂cognitive linguistics＂, this essay gives a proper description of that linguist phenomenon. Together with the theoretical analysis, the author tries to give a reasonable explanation of the linguistic phenomenon.
