在教育现代化的时代背景下,高校新闻媒体育人的功能日益凸显,主要有舆论育人和实践育人功能。拓展高校新闻媒体育人功能,要实现由舆论育人向实践育人的转变,由媒体受众向新闻工作者的转变,由社会边缘人向完全社会人的转变。利用高校新闻媒体育人功能,要把握好媒体的实践性育人特点,利用好新闻媒体的各种实践平台,充分发挥高校宣传职能部门的组织协调作用。

Education through public opinions and through practice are two main apparent educational functions of Univcrsity news media in the times of edueational modernization, The extension of its educational functiuns lles in three transformations： from education through public opiniions to education through practice; from the media audience to the journalists; from social marginals to whole social men. The cxploitation of its educational functions should focus on the characteristics of edncation through practice, should make wise use of various fonus of news media, and give full play to the organizational and coordinating vole of the publicity department.
