The Cultivation of Students' Spirit of Humanity

人文精神是一个历史的范畴。当前人类所面临的前所未有的困难与挑战,同旧的人文精神有很大的关系。旧的人文精神已经不足以解决人类面临的新问题,因此,必须建立新的人文精神,以适应当前人类社会的需要。对于学生人文精神的养育,学校教育除了传授必要的知识之外,还可以在很多方面作出自己应有的贡献。

Spirit of humanity is a conception of historical category. The unprecedented challenge and difficulty human beings face today have much to do with the old spirit of humanity. As the outdated spirit of humanity is insufficient for people to solve all those new problems, a new spirit of humanity must be established to satisfy the needs of the current human society. As for the cultivation of students＂ spirit of humanity, besides the instruction of necessary knowledge, school education can contribute a lot in other aspects.
