In what degree does culture influence the economical, social and institutive development？ What is the relationship between cultural value and development？ Taking Harrison and Huntington＇s Culture Does Matters as an example, and in the context of a comparison between Marx Web and Anthony Giddens, this paper tries to illustrate that while the technical reason is far from being surplus in today＇s China, there is no golden age of value for us to learn from. Hence it is necessary to explore in multi-perspectives the effects cultural value left on progress and development.
