高校工会是党联系广大教职工群众的桥梁和纽带,是促进高等教育事业改革与发展的一支重要力量。随着教育立法的不断完善和高校内部管理体制改革的深入发展,高校工会工作面临着许多前所未有的新情况、新问题。为此,高校工会必须加强四种能力建设:即提高讲政治的能力;提高建设民主政治的能力;提高维护教职工合法权益的能力;提高做教职工思想政治工作的能力。为学校的改革发展稳定作出新贡献。

Labor union in institutions of higher learning serves as a bridge and tie that link the Communist Party of China with teaching and administrative staff, and plays an important role in the promotion for the reform and development of higher education. With the gradual perfection in educational legislation and further improvement in interior management reform in colleges and universities, labor union will be confronted with new challenging situations and problems. In order to make new contributions to the reform,development and stability, four kinds of competence construction must be strengthened： to enhance political competence; to improve democratic politics competence; to increase the competence for defending legal rights of teaching and administrative staff, to boost the competence for guiding ideological and political work for teaching and administrative staff.
