沧浪不话王维论

On not Commenting on Wang Wei

严羽《沧浪诗话》论诗,重妙悟、倡兴趣、标举盛唐“气象”,极崇李杜,亦激赏孟浩然,独于王维很少涉及。拟从严氏理论与王维诗歌的离合入手,浅论《沧浪诗话》不论王维的原因:在根本上,严氏的用世之志与王维诗中佛理禅意具有隔阂;在风格上,严羽推崇雄壮之美,激赏李白的豪迈飘逸和杜甫的沉郁顿挫,而对王维诗“不落人间声色”处,则有意排斥;就人生体验看,严羽身处季宋,布衣一生,其个性气质、人生境遇与身处盛唐、“富贵山林两得其趣”的王维迥异,而更接近于“不才明主弃”的孟浩然。

Yah Yu commented on many poets of the prosperous Tang dynasty such as Li Du and Meng Haoran in his book ＂On Poetry＂, but he seldom touched upon Wang Wei. This paper has a discussion of the reasons for this based on the difference between Yan＇ s theory and Wang Wei＇ s poetry. There existed a gap between Yan＇s outlooks on the world and the Buddhist ideas in Wang＇s poems, and in style, Yan Yu intentionally rejected Wang Wei. Moreover, they had totally different life experiences.
