On Mao Zedong's Thought of Agricultural Modernization

毛泽东是中国现代化进程中的历史巨人,对中国的现代化做出了特殊的贡献。在领导社会主义革命和社会主义建设过程中,毛泽东从中国这样一个经济文化长期落后的农业大国国情出发,对中国的农业现代化问题进行了艰辛探索,创造性地提出了中国农业社会主义现代化的理论。尽管毛泽东在农业现代化发展问题上存在一些失误,但瑕不掩瑜,毛泽东农业现代化思想不失为宝贵的精神财富。

Mao Zedong is a historical giant in China＇s modernization. He made special contribution to the modernization of China. During the socialist revolution and construction, in view of the actual situation of China as a economically backward agricultural country, Mao Zedong creatively put forward the theory of Chinese agricultural socialist modernization, which was based on his hard exploration. Though some faults existed in his idea of agricultural modernization, yet the defects cannot obscure the virtues. Mao Zedong＇s thought of agricultural modernization can be regarded as valuable spiritual wealth.
