摘要 LINYI, formerly known as Langya, is a historical city in Shandong Province. There is an old Chinese saying, "South Shandong Province has the most beautiful historical sites, and Langya has the most celebrities." Linyi is indeed the birthplace of master calligrapher Wang Xizhi and his peer Yan Zhenqing, as well as of master militarist Zhuge Liang and mathematician Liu Hong. Among Linyi's 40 national and provincial level cultural relic sites are the former residence of Wang Xizhi (321-379) and the Yinqueshan Han Dynasty tomb, where bamboo slips engraved with Sun Zi's Art of War and Sun Bin's Art of War were unearthed. These bamboo slips have been described as "one of the world top 100 archaeological discoveries in the 20th century," The Jin (265-420) tombs in Linyi also contain national cultural relics that have been listed as China's top ten archaeological discoveries of 2003. These ancient legacies constitute a showcase for Linyi's fascinating history and culture.
