摘要
对于大规模多媒体多播应用来说,一个有效发现和修正传输错误的可靠多媒体多播传输协议是必要的。研讨了多媒体多播应用中的传输延迟和分组丢失率问题,提出了一种基于转接节点概念的Internet可靠多播传输协议(IRMTP)。IR-MTP协议聚焦在一定延迟上提供多媒体服务质量保证,转接节点放置在多播树上,数据恢复在两个转接节点之间进行,IR-MTP协议能满足分组重传需求和减少分组的传输延迟。给出了IRMTP协议与SRM协议的性能比较,仿真实验表明I,RMTP协议能提供较高的传输率和较低的端到端分组传输延迟。
In large-scale reliable multimedia multicast application, an effective protocol which could be used to discover and recover errors of transfer is necessary. Multimedia multicast application problems with allowable delay and high packet loss rate were discussed. And a new intemet reliable multicast transport protocol based on a relay node concept (IRMTP) was proposed. The IRMTP protocol focusing on allowable delay provides quality of service (QoS) for multimedia. Relay nodes are placed along the multicast tree. Data recovery is done between relay nodes. The method that enable protocol relays to request retransmission immediately and reduce delay for packet transmission was proposed. A performance compare of the IRMTP with SRM (Scalable Reliable Multicast) was made. Simulation results show that the IRMTP has high delivery ratio and low end-to-end delay for packet transmission.
