Focus on the Huangpu River- The Landscape Planning and Design of the 2010 Shanghai World Expo

有创意的选址,充分发挥场址特征,是办好世博会的保证。2005日本爱知世博园根据“自然的睿智”这一主题,选址于森林地区,展现人与自然森林之间的和谐关系。上海世博园选址于黄浦江畔,关注黄浦江是上海世博园景观规划设计的核心理念之一。因此,规划以展现黄浦江潮汐河特征为理念,让游人在世博园感受每天水位和水流方向的潮汐变化,通过真实感受和放大感受两条途径,营造人与自然互动的、引人瞩目的景观。

Selecting sites with original ideas and making the most of their geographical features are essential for the World Expo. As its theme is ＂Nature＇s Wisdom＂, the 2005 Aichi World Expo is located in a forest area, showing the harmony between human and nature. The focus on the Huangpu River and the nature is one motif of the Shanghai World EXPO Park landscape planning and design. The EXPO plan brings forward the motif that shows the tide of the Hangpu River, let visitors have a close relationship with the water level and the stream direction every day. Through the real and the magnified feeling, the plan tries to construct such a remarkable landscape, where man and the nature can be exchanged with each other.
