摘要 基因芯片技术提供了一种能特异性测定信使RNA(mRNA)表达水平的工具,可用于研究一些和疾病相关的新的特定基因表达模式,把基因芯片作为研究神经毒物毒性作用分子机理的筛选工具是基因芯片技术在神经毒物学研究方面一个很重要的应用,使研究者们能够鉴定出一些对毒性物质有抑制作用和敏感的基因及一些与毒理相关的通路。 DNA microarray technology provides a unique tool for the determination of gene expression at the level of messenger RNA (mRNA). The simultaneous measurement of thousands of genes will facilitate the uncovering of specific gene expression patterns that are associated with disease. One important application of microarray technology in the field of neurotoxicological studies is used as a screening tool for the identification of molecular mechanisms of toxicity of toxicant. Such approaches enable researchers to identify those genes and their products (either single or whole pathways) that are involved in conferring resistance or sensitivity to toxic substances.
