Property Right as the Guarantee of Free Will——A Reading Note on Hegel's Principles of Law and Philosophy

财产权是自由意志的定在。一个人通过对物的占有而成为现实的存在。离开了财产权,个人自由、人格独立就是一个空洞的东西。平等的自由权利并不意味着平均占有财富,劳动是个人占有财富的基本方式。私人所有权的出现既是社会的一大进步,更是构成共同所有权的现实基础。

Property right is the guarantee of free will. Man exists by the possession of materials. Individual freedom and independent personality cannot exist without property right. Equal freedom does not mean average possession of wealth, and labor is the fundamental way to possess wealth. The appearance of private proprietary right is not only a sign of social progress, but also the realistic foundation to form the common proprietary rights.
