摘要 一片江南烟雨下纯净古朴的篮白两色,为水乡人的心灵注入灵性。而江南著名水乡乌镇的蓝印花布,则更显烟雨江南的纯粹。 The printed blue cloth in Wuzhen, a water village, is of fresh decorative patterns, rich and steady colors and plain but tasteful styles. The manufacturing skill originated in the Qin and Han Dynasties and prospered in the Tang and Song Dynasties. Only after Huang Daopo introduced the weaving technique to the regions south of the Yangtze River in the 13th century did the printed blue cotton cloth begin to be used widely. The pure Wuzhen printed blue cloth uses the leaves of isatis root as the raw material in printing. The natural blue dye makes decorative patterns purely blue in contrast to plain white patterns. As such cloth is all hand made, it is impossible to be produced in large batches.
