In English and Chinese, the word "ruin" has an implication of tragedy, remiding us of the ending of some great cities in the history, such as Sllexender, and Chang'an.However, ruin is not as simple as we have thought:first, ruin isn't a quick-passing historical affair and it may take a centuty;secondly, rin doesn't happen only through physical violence;thirdly, ruin usually is made in the name of building a beautiful new world.Fact is just so:today's ruin in Chinese cities is exactly an indifference and ruin to the greatness itself.
