Since the advent of the AIDS pandemic, tuberculosis （TB） has been recognized as one of the most important opportunistic infections in HIV-infected individuals, HIV has also emerged as the strongest known risk factor for the development of TB. This contribution discusses the impact of HIV on the presentation, diagnosis and management of TB.
