Absorbing glass volume calorimeter for 80mm aperture has been fabrited. It is used for the absolute measurement of energy for high power pulsed lasers. Major performances of the ,alaorimeter have been measured. It is shown that linearity and repeatability are a less than±＋1.5%. Applied automatic thermal balance compensation teehnique.thermalu ＂Zero drift＂ is reduced two orders of magnitude, and energy detectivity increases 20 times, and the measurement period reduced to a minute.
