Gender and Narrative

论文从叙事学的角度探讨了凌叔华小说的叙事风格。凌叔华笔下的人物多为小姐、太太、婆婆,内容多为日常生活场景;小说的人物聚焦和叙事结构对于故事的展开以及突出人物的命运,彰显凌叔华对于妇女解放以及女性革命的思考起到积极作用。

This paper is an attempt to analyze the narrative style of Ling Shu-hua＇ s fiction from the perspective of narratology. Ling＇ s fictional characters are mostly young ladies, wives and mothers-in-law and the milieu is mainly everyday life. It is noted that the focalization of the fictional characters and the narrative structure in her fiction play a positive role in the development of stories, in highlighting the fortunes and misfortunes of the characters, and in manifesting Ling＇ s reflections on women＇ s liberation and revolution in particular.
