Tangka is the Tibetan language,meaning“silk painting that can be unrolled for appreciation”Almost every Tibetan family has Tangka which are regarded as sacred as Buddha and are worshiped piously.The brilliant Tangka are not only the fruits of the craftsmen's painstaking labor but also the reflection of their rev- erent and pious soul.Across the land of golden grains in Qinghai,the Buddha- worshiping craftsmen are painting pictures day in and day out,passing on the workmanship of Tangka from generation to generation.
