A New Mini Watermelon F_1 Hybrid — ‘Shaoziheiganlan’

少籽黑橄榄是采用少籽专利育种技术,以台湾引进的黑美人分离纯合系BL-1为母本,以日本小果材料转育的少籽Xs-2纯系为父本配制而成的一代杂种。早熟,果实黑皮,橄榄形,红瓤,肉质脆硬,少籽,中心糖含量12.5%左右,单果种子50粒左右,果皮硬度25kg·cm-2,耐贮运。平均单果质量1.9kg,每667m2产量2500kg左右。中抗枯萎病,对叶枯病、病毒病的抗性与对照黑美人相当,适宜天津地区露地和保护地栽培。

Shaoziheiganlan is bred by crossing BL - 1 line derived from Tianwan Black Beauty as female parent, with few-seed line Xs -2 derived from Japanese mini-fruit type watermelon as male parent. It is extremely early maturity hybrid and characterized by black rind, olivary fruit with about 50 seeds. Sugar content in the centre is over 12.5 %. Average fruit weight is about 1.9 kg, yield is about 37.5 t · hm^-2. The fruit has firm flesh and pericarp, and is suitable for shipping. It is medium resistant to Fusarium wilt and has similar resistance to Alternaria leaf blight and virus to Heimeiren. It is suitable for growing in both open and protected field in Tianjin area.
