摘要
本文提出了一种分层多媒体数据模型（ＬＭＤＭ），以有效地解决多媒体数据的表示、存储和媒体同步。该模型分为数据定义层ＤＤＬ、数据操纵层ＤＭＬ、数据显示层ＤＰＬ和控制层ＣＬ四层，这里重点阐述了ＤＤＬ和ＤＭＬ层。在多媒体办公系统ＴＨＭＯＳ中，我们综合应用了ＬＭＤＭ的思想，较好地实现了多媒体文件的数据库功能。
In this paper,we describe the layered multimedia data model,which is considered to solve the problems of specification, storage and synchronization of the multimedia data.The model consists of four layers-DDL, DML, DPL and CL.We apply the idea to the design and implementation of multimedia office automation system THMOS.
