1929年爆发的经济危机对整个资本主义世界来讲是重大转折的开端,它对所有国家的经济、政治、社会生活产生了巨大的影响,在社会保障的历史上也同样具有重要意义。本文仅从危机过程中,美国有关老年人口的保障制度产生、发展及逐步的完善来进行简单分析,以求对老年人保障制度作初步探讨。

The Great Depression erupted in 1929 was a start of a turning point to the whole capitalism world, because it had caused great changes on every side of the society ,such as politics, economy, social life, moreover , on the social security. This article just analyses the appearance, development and the progress of perfection of American security system on the aged to make an initial study on this subject.
