称呼语的人际功能及其语用翻译等值

语言不仅传递信息,而且还可以通过语言同他人建立和保持一定的社会关系。称呼语能体现人们之间的社会角色关系,与语言的人际功能密切相关。本研究从韩礼德的人际纯理功能入手,通过分析称呼语的选择使用场合,以及语气和情态对称呼语的影响,提出在翻译称呼语时要力求在情景语境中考虑人际功能上的意义对等,这是语用翻译等值的内在要求,也是实现译文跟原文总体等值的一个重要方面。

Language doesn＇t convey message only and it can help people establish and maintain some social relations with others. Address forms can demonstrate this role relations among people and it is closely related to its interpersonal functions. Based on the concept of recta-interpersonal function of language proposed by Halliday and on the analysis of the choices of address forms and the influence from the mood and modality, this study concludes that the translation of address forms should take the equivalence of interpersonal functions in use into consideration. On the one hand, this is the interior requirement of pragmatic translation and on the other hand it is one aspect of fulfilling wholistic equivalence between source text and target text.
